2022 Awards

2023 Awards - Coming Soon! Our 20th Edition of the NALE will happen THIS SUMMER! Thanks to our sponsors!

The awards gala will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba in August 2023

The National Awards of Landscape Excellence (NALE) recognize Canadian companies that have actively participated in significantly raising the level of professionalism in the landscape industry. Each province nominates members from the provincial awards of excellence competition that are then entered into the national awards. They may enter up to three entries per category for a total of fifteen entries per association for the following awards: landscape design, landscape construction (commercial and residential), and landscape maintenance (commercial and residential).

The Green for Life Awards recognize the significant contributions made to the ornamental horticulture sector by an individual, corporation, or community. Submissions include projects or geographical segments within a community, region or municipality that have a specific benefit to the public through the development and/or maintenance of green spaces.

The National Awards of Landscape Excellence are sponsored by:

Humboldt Urban Garden Sanctuary (HUGS), Green for Life Community Award Winner

Humboldt Urban Garden Sanctuary or HUGS is a vast new community green space that celebrated its grand opening this summer at the Humboldt District Hospital grounds, built by numerous agencies, companies and individuals including Scotts Canada, Landscape Saskatchewan, Landscape Alberta, Green Cities Foundation Canada and Communities in Bloom. This garden includes hundreds of trees, shrubs, and perennials, along with a large area of turf. Great care was taken to ensure irrigation was available to all plant materials. The carbon sequestration, pollution scrubbing, and windbreaks this garden will provide to residents of the town and hospital patients, staff and guests alike will be realized for generations to come.
