Anita is an owner and manager of Eagle Lake Nurseries Ltd. This second-generation farm produces trees, shrubs, and perennials for the prairie market, and it is located on over 1000 acres of land in the Strathmore area. Anita has been at the nursery for over 25 years, but like most farm children started working on the farm at a young age, taking on daily chores and duties.
Anita studied horticulture at the University of Guelph, where she graduated with her Associate Diploma in Horticulture. She is also a Certified Landscape Horticulture Apprentice. Anita is the current President of CNLA and Landscape Alberta's Past President. She is also an active member of the Canadian Nursery Certification Institute and the Alberta Nursery Producers Group.
