This is national, plant data base for botanical name, common name, family and category of common plants in Canada. The categories included are: deciduous trees, coniferous trees, deciduous shrubs, evergreen shrubs, vines, perennials, ornamental grasses, annuals, turfgrass, and invasive species.

The CNLA Professional Development Committee compiled this list as a resource for technical training and assessment tools in Canada, such as the Red Seal Occupational Standard and its products.
