Michael's grandparents started the farm in 1952. His parents took over and transitioned it into a nursery in the 1970's. Michael is now the third generation to work the land. Kato's has been a provider of high quality nursery stock to Independent Garden Centres for many decades. Michael spent over ten years on the BCNLA Board and is starting year 10 on the CNLA Board.
